God of Truth,
We join the many in our country at the announcement of a guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial.
We know that a guilty verdict will not restore George Floyd’s life.
We hope that the just verdict will be a powerful impetus forward in our country’s healing

God of Compassion,
May the Floyd family and all victims of unjust violence be comforted in their incalculable grief. Unite our country in Your love and help us come together as one.

God of Justice,
We know that this verdict is just the beginning of our work to end systemic racism and violence. We, the Sisters of the Humility of Mary, commit to continue using our voice for peace and justice and working to eradicate all traces of racism.
