In Memoriam-Sr. Kathleen King

Sister Kathleen King, H.M., formerly Sister M. Campion, died Sunday, January 21, 2024 at Villa Maria Community Center.

Date of Birth: September 27, 1931│ Age: 92
Place of Birth: Akron, Ohio

Sister Kathleen was a dynamic and engaging teacher and administrator serving in the Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Youngstown dioceses over a span of 36 years. Following her years in the schools she was appointed to the HM Membership and Affiliation Team. During this time she dedicated herself to directing a volunteer service program for young adult volunteers with placements in both the United States and Central and South America. She continued her contacts with hundreds of these volunteer alums for many years.

She is survived by her sisters in the Humility of Mary Congregation; her brother Rev. James J. King, SJ; her sister Mary Margaret Reardon; and 27 nieces and nephews and their families. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Mary (McGuiness) King and her brother Rev. William F. King, SJ.
